Program Terms

Under final legal review — these terms describe how the program runs today and may be refined on counsel's advice.

1. What the program is — and is not

Elevens (formerly "EWB Coin") is a voluntary, gratuitous employee-recognition program. The company may, in its sole discretion, award coins redeemable only in the company store.

Coins are not wages, salary, bonus, or compensation of any kind. They are not earned by or promised for any quantity or quality of work, and no employee has a contractual right to receive them. They are not part of any wage agreement or regular rate of pay.

Coins have no cash value, cannot be redeemed for cash, and cannot be sold, assigned, or transferred to anyone. They are not a security, deposit, cryptocurrency, or financial instrument.

2. Eligibility

All active Eleven Western employees. Participation is automatic — no purchase, payment, or enrollment is required or permitted.

3. How coins are awarded

Every award is discretionary — both whether and how much. Published categories (safety leadership, peer recognition, exceptional effort, service recognition, project completions, spot awards) are illustrative only — never a formula, schedule, quota, or promise. Similar contributions may receive different amounts, or none.

Every award is approved by a named human administrator and permanently recorded with the reason. Peer nominations are welcome and are suggestions only; self-nominations are not accepted.

4. Safety recognition — reporting always comes first

Safety awards recognize proactive contributions: identifying and reporting hazards, reporting near-misses, completing training, delivering toolbox talks, and mentoring safe practices.

No award is ever conditioned on the absence or non-reporting of injuries. Reporting an injury, illness, hazard, or safety concern will never reduce or disqualify any recognition, and will never be the basis of any adverse action. Nothing in this program limits your rights under OSHA or state law.

5. The store and taxes

Coins are redeemable only in the company store, for items the company offers and prices at its discretion. Store items are denominated in coins; there is no cash exchange rate.

The value of redeemed items may be taxable income; the company reports and withholds as the law requires. Paid-time-off items are not currently offered pending review.

6. Duration and separation

Coins don't expire during active employment. Unredeemed coins lapse automatically at separation, without payment. The company may reverse awards made in error or obtained through misconduct.

7. The wall and your privacy

Approved recognitions (names, story, amount) appear inside the authenticated employee portal only. Ask the administrator to edit or remove a story involving you and reasonable requests will be honored. Names and stories are never published outside company systems; if the program ever uses a public blockchain, only pseudonymous wallet identifiers and amounts would appear there.

8. Your rights

Nothing here limits your right to discuss this program, your awards, or your wages, hours, or working conditions with anyone, or any activity protected by the National Labor Relations Act. The program doesn't change at-will employment or any employment term. Awards are administered without regard to any legally protected characteristic, and distribution is reviewed periodically for fairness.

9. Changes

The company may amend, suspend, or end the program at any time, including as to unredeemed coins. These terms are the entire statement of the program. California law governs.
